Through a combination of sports, educational activities, and structured youth development programmes, we are engaging over 200 young people aged 6-18 within our community. Our provision offers consistent, safe, and inclusive spaces that support early intervention and positive youth engagement.

These programmes contribute to improved confidence, resilience, and social skills, while promoting physical wellbeing and positive behavioural outcomes. Participants benefit from regular, structured activities that reduce the risk of social isolation and exposure to anti-social behaviour, particularly during after-school hours and holiday periods.

Our approach focuses on long-term impact by fostering a sense of belonging, strengthening peer relationships, and supporting young people to make informed, positive life choices. By investing in accessible youth provision, we are helping to build stronger, more cohesive communities and improving outcomes for young people at a critical stage of their development.

Our youth provision plays a vital role in early intervention and prevention by offering consistent, structured activities that engage young people during peak hours of risk, including weekends and holiday periods. By providing safe, supervised environments, we reduce the likelihood of young people being exposed to negative influences such as anti-social behaviour, exploitation, and involvement in county lines activity.

Through regular participation, young people build trusted relationships with positive role models and peers, which is a key protective factor against criminal involvement. Our programmes create opportunities for mentorship, guidance, and open dialogue, enabling early identification of vulnerabilities and timely support. This relational approach is critical in diverting young people away from harmful pathways and towards positive, goal-oriented futures.

In addition, our activities promote confidence, resilience, and decision-making skills, equipping participants with the tools needed to resist peer pressure and make informed choices. Sports and group-based programmes provide a constructive outlet for energy, reduce idle time, and encourage discipline, teamwork, and accountability.

Importantly, our long-term engagement demonstrates clear positive outcomes. Through our intervention, a number of young people have progressed into higher education, including university, while others have successfully gained employment or gone on to start their own businesses. These outcomes highlight the effectiveness of sustained, community-based support in raising aspirations and enabling young people to realise their potential.

By investing in accessible, community-led youth provision, we are addressing key risk factors associated with youth crime, including lack of opportunity, social isolation, and disengagement. Our work contributes to safer, more resilient communities by supporting young people to remain engaged in positive pathways, build aspirations, and develop the skills needed to lead healthy, productive lives.
