Sport plays a central role in our youth engagement approach, providing a positive and structured environment for young people to grow and develop. Through our community football teams, participants build teamwork, perseverance and leadership skills while benefiting from regular physical activity and meaningful in-person social interaction.

Participation in sport creates a supportive setting where young people learn to collaborate, overcome challenges and support one another. These experiences help to build resilience, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging, equipping them with valuable skills that extend well beyond the playing field.

Bobbersmill FC is an amateur grassroots football club based in the Bobbersmill area of Nottingham, dedicated to fostering a love for football and developing young talent in the community. As proud members of the Notts Youth Football League and the Young Elizabethan League, we compete on Saturdays and Sundays, allowing our players to experience the excitement of regular match play. Our club is also FA-accredited, underscoring our commitment to maintaining high standards in coaching, player welfare and club management.

Currently, we field three vibrant teams: an Under-10 squad, an Under-13 squad and an Under-18 squad. These teams are coached by passionate and qualified volunteers who focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Beyond just playing football, we aim to instil values such as respect, discipline, and perseverance in our players, helping them grow both on and off the pitch. Join us at Bobbersmill FC, where every player is valued, and the joy of the game is shared by all.

As much as we all like to win, we emphasise teamwork, player development and fair play over results. We are committed to ensuring your child plays football in a safe environment. As part of this commitment, managers, coaches and other adults regularly coming into contact with players have undergone a Disclosure and Barring Service “DBS” check to ensure their suitability.
